INDO CINE APPRECIATION FOUNDATION in association with the Embassy of Cuba in India, New Delhi are organizing a CUBAN FILM FESTIVAL on 27, 28 and 30 September 2021 at Alliance Française of Madras

1. Contigo pan y cebolla/2014/Dir.: Juan Carlos Cremata Malberti/114 min ( Sep 27, 6.00 pm)

The purchase of a fridge (a huge investment then) is a pretext to show the joys and hardships of
a traditional Cuban family in the 50s. Extremely funny.

2. Y sin embargo/2013/Dir.: Rudy Mora/86 min ( Sep 28, 6.00 pm )

A boy claims he is late to an exam because he saw a UFO. While many believe he should be expelled, some students start to investigate, leading to questions about the role of creativity in the modern world.

3. Ciudad en rojo/2009/Dir.: Rebeca Chávez/90 min ( Sep 30, 6.00 pm )

When violence is imposed, to regain peace, sometimes there is no other option than a violent
response, a violence that could be considered legitimate and defense, but that is also violence
and leaves its mark on the human being. This reflection does not take place in the abstract.
