We are happy to inform you that, INDO CINE APPRECIATION FOUNDATION in association with Royal Norwegian Embassy, New Delhi and Royal Norwegian Consulate, Chennai are organizing a Norwegian Film Festival from 26th – 28th September 2016 at Edouard Michelin Auditorium, Alliance Française of Madras

Mina is a young single mother living in Oslo with her 6 year old son Felix. She is an Norwegian Pakistani with a troublesome relationship with her family. Mina is constantly looking for love and has relations to different men, however none of the relationships bearing any hope of lasting very long. So when Mina meets Jesper, a Swedish film director, she falls head over heels in love.

17 year old Tale and her friends have organized a small theatre group. Until now, they have been playing small comedy shows for children, but two real artists from the city have joined them and it is time to prepare a more challenging piece. They decide on a Jon Fosse play and it is soon clear to Tale that they will need help. As they start work under the direction of an extravagant seasoned actor, things take a different direction. The main male part goes to the simple Vegard, captain of the local football team, the complete opposite of the thoughtful Tale. In time, the tension between the two warring actors turns into love.

In The Liverpool Goalie both girls and boys play football, worship their idols, and are frustrated by complicated friendships, young love, anxious mothers and overambitious football coaches. Jo is a twelve year old who tries to avoid both potential girfriends, mothers and football coaches, as he is hunting desperately for a rare football card which he believes will solve all his problems.

Anne, 10, is an energetic girl whose favourite activities are tree-climbing and running. When the new boy in class, Jørgen, moves into the haunted house down the road Anne’s world turns upside-down; she falls head over heals in love with him. All the girls in Anne’s class fall for Jørgen as well, including beautiful blonde pony-tailed Ellen. But that is of no hindrance to Anne; she is willing to go further than anyone to win him over. When done in the name of love, everything is allowed…isn’t it?

5. Ploddy the police car on the case | Dir.: Rasmus A. Sivertsen and Rune Spaans |2013 | 72 min (28 Sep 2016 | 7.45 PM )

Ploddy the Police Car is assigned to guard the biggest attraction in a brand new Eagle Park in the far North of Norway; an endangered eagle mother and her egg. However, when two female thieves steal the eagle mother and Pelle ends up hatching the egg under his hood, he gets a lot busier than planned. The fact that his policeman Richard falls in love with one of the thieves is not helping either…
