ICELANDIC FILM FESTIVAL

Embassy of Iceland, New Delhi; Honorary Consulate of Iceland, Chennai, Icelandic Film Centre, Iceland and Indo Cine Appreciation Foundation are organizing an ICELANDIC FILM FESTIVAL on 26 and 27 November 2021 at Tagore Film Centre NFDC, Music College Road, State Bank of India Colony, Raja Annamalai Puram, Chennai.

His Excellency Gudni Bragason (Honourable Ambassador of Iceland to India, New Delhi) will inaugurate the festival in the august presence of Mr. Kumar Sitharaman (Honorary Consul of Iceland, Chennai) and Mr. Katragadda Prasad (President, South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce). Ms. Shylaja Chetlur (Cine Artiste) will light the lamp.

An off-duty police chief begins to suspect a local man for having had an affair with his wife, who recently died in a car accident. Gradually his obsession for finding out the truth accumulates and inevitably begins to endanger himself and his loved ones. A story of grief, revenge and unconditional love.

3. The County/Héraðið/2019/Dir.: Grímur Hákonarson/92 min — Nov 27, 7:50 pm

The story of Inga, a middle-aged dairy farmer who rebels against the all-powerful local Cooperative. Inga tries to get other farmers to join her in rising up against the Co-op’s corruption, but encounters great resistance, forcing her to confront the community’s dependence and loyalty to this single, dominant enterprise.
